My suggestion would have been calling the local news channel and the fire department. They've got the tools and training to go down in there to get them, and the FD loves going out to an easy feel good story that gets them good press.
Except both fire departments told me they couldn't help... the one gave me non emergency dispatch number to call, and dispatch said they don't do that. The other fire department said they disnt know how they'd be able to help...

So, I did it myself with @Jpat suggestion and @Texag87 and his wife on their way to help.
 
can you buy a large fishing net to scoop them out? i had a similar situation a few years ago and my father used a 5 ft long net to scoop them out. also, can you throw a large piece of styrofoam or a towel down so they can rest on a solid surface?

they were already saved from down there :) they are safe and sound with @Texag87
