Emergency! Chick Gasping!

I have a young two week old chick who is gasping constantly with the occasional sneeze. I think the sneezing might be due to the oil I gave her thinking that maybe something was stuck in her throat. I'm not sure what else to do for her.

Was she gasping before you gave oil?

Yes, she was already gasping.

The oil was given to help lubricate her Incase there was something stuck in her throat that was causing the gasping.

I’d have to get one. It’s a plastic bin with shavings and pellets lining the bottom. She’s the only one acting this way.

I thought maybe it was a mealworm piece. They get grit but I haven’t had this issue before.

Did you hatch or buy these chicks and do you have other/older birds?

These chicks were hatched. I have older birds but they don’t have any contact with the chicks. The older birds are kept outside and the chicks inside.
