Emergency: chick gone downhill very fast!

From my experience quail chicks and hen chicks seem very similar so maybe it is stress since the other chicks are stronger and tend to peck it and puch it around. I currenty giving it a couple of drops of sugar water every 15 minutes or so since it is keen to drink it. It is trying to eat now as well, it just cant aim right yet so its not picking anything up.
Its getting out of its tub now and climbing back in with the others so surely that means its getting stronger!
ill check the temperature of the brooder just now!

Directly under the heat lamp it is 40.5 C. Is that about right or too hot?

lol, thats awesome !! hope he continues to improve. i lost a couple of chicks they froze way over in a corner as far as they could get from the heat lamp. and they were 2 weeks old. they just didnt know any better. so i am kinda thinking yours may be getting to hot.

Ok, I will move the lamp a bit further up and hope it continues to improve

i found it its 104.9 and yes, too hot if that was at chick level

Ive lowered it to 37C and the chick seems to be improving still!

Haha, well I was going to say lets hope nothing else goes wrong now but I spoke too son! Our stupid cat got into the brooder and grabbed one! Luckily the only injury it seems to have is a graze under its chin but its in a lot of shock, no surprise!
