Worse thing you can do is panic and think you have to help, wait till QJ comes back on to help she'll give you guidance.OK I now need to know how long they stay broke through the air sac before they make external crack ?? They are still
moving around but still no external holes. I did candle 3 of them this morning and they were all in the air sac pecking at
the shell. I could see it clearly. Its like they were right at the shell and about to crack it, but still no holes. Just didnt
know how long it takes to break through the actual shell. The hatch date would realy be this sat. so i guess im ok
You're too sweet Miss Lydia. You remember my bad hatches right? lol.I'm following right along just not saying anything... except QJ you are a Jewel!![]()
I'm up where are you! PM me please when you need me. My PM notifications go straight to my email. I JUST NOW got the notification for this and it was 6 hours ago. Little BYC glitch I think.Hi Quacker, yes I would definitely need help. My time zone is PST. Will you still be up?
24 to 48 hours. My last 2 hatches were right at 48 hours. They were driving me nutty. All the sudden it will just be there.OK I now need to know how long they stay broke through the air sac before they make external crack ?? They are still
moving around but still no external holes. I did candle 3 of them this morning and they were all in the air sac pecking at

Yay!!I have 2 babies in the past 3 hours and another one about to make their entrance into the world - 10 more externally pipped! Listen to the others the worst thing you can do is get anxious - I did that on my 2nd hatch and shrink wrapped my babies. On my last hatch my very last duck took almost 2 full days to hatch after his external pip. He did need my assistance and he is one of my biggest ducks now and a very handsome swedish! Patience grasshopper Patience!![]()
It will be fine. Humidity at 70-75 and wait. Still waiting..... and some more waiting... and don't forget to wait... don't worry until 48 hours. And even then I'll help you through an assisted hatch. No worries.I have one that has made a external crack in the shell.
Now i am a nervous wreck because if it does not break out
of the shell without any problems, i have not a clue what to do.
Wish me luck !!!!!!
