One way to euthenize a bird is to take a plastic bag and put a small towel completely soaked in automotive starter fluid in the bottom of the bag. Place the bird in the bag and seal it up tight. Upon the first one or two breaths the bird will go unconscious and die. It is a very painless way to go. I am so sorry.

At my farm, to euthanize, we take a sharp pair of scissors and cut right the head right off. The body will twitch, but it will be nerves, so no pain. It won't feel any pain, as the center that processes it (the brain) is disconnected. One cut will do it.

Thanks for being clearheaded and not causing unnecessary suffering.

I think it's been 4 days now right? I would put the bird out of it's suffering. Snip is head off. As unplesant as that sounds it is quick and over with before you inhale your next breath.
