Just two weeks in with my 8 chicks and wanted to know what supplies might be good to have
for emergency issues or treatments. Wanted to put together my kit and have it handy if anything arises as I'm sure it will.
Thanks
Michelle

Excellent link above.

I would add: Nutridrench, Vetricyn (the regular antiseptic spray along with the hydrogel), coconut oil, Epsom salts (might be a duplicate).

In addition: SHARP scissors that will remain with the kit at all times. When it comes time to cut Vetwrap, gauze and other things into chicken-sized strips to wrap something … sharp scissors are really important.

Other scissors- these small curved sewing scissors have come in extremely handy, especially when working around a chicken- because you can use them confidently in small areas. Remember, chicken skin is really thin.

Hard to find locally items to order and have on hand:

Puppy Feeding tubes with 35ml FEEDER syringes, I try to always have at least 3 standing by.

A suture kit with a practice pad. Though with medical professionals in your life, you're probably covered!!!

One more add on: Dissolving sutures- usually the kits that have a variety of sutures don't come with dissolving sutures. Cheap to order, hard to find locally unless you have an 'in' at a medical supply store.
