Emergency! My rooster is beating up my pulleys! Help!

I’ve got 10 pullets. I had 2 adult hens & 11 pullets. I’ve got at least a weeks worth of work to make the other run safe again.

Guess I lost count! You could keep him in a nice large dog crate for a week or so, if that might give you the time to fix up another run. He will not like it a lot, but he will survive, and so will your pullets!

However long it will take make sure he will not get near the pullets until they are old enough to deal with him.

5-6 months depending on how fast they mature.

If you buy 3 or more adult hens for him he might ignore the pullets again as he did before the dog accident.

It is always good to have such a cage on hand, anyways. You never know when you need to jail a bird!
