EMERGENCY PLEASE HELP BABY PIGEON IN NEED

I have a baby pigeon, actually I have two...I’ve raised them before but this one is different...the other pigeons scalped both of them so I took them in to raise them and the first one seems younger but he will eat now this one seems older and he will not take any food...I’ve tried everything i do not know how old he is and I don’t know what to do...his crop is flat and he won’t eat I force fed him just a bit to get by for tonight but I need help he’s going to die if I cannot get food in is system let alone the wounds the other pigeons have caused to him...the pics are below any help will be appreciated!

The pigeons that scalped these small squabs were not the parents. If you could get the known parents into a cage with these lil ones, they will feed them. You would of course have to provide plenty of pigeon feed for the parents. It looks to me that these are 1 to 2 week of age. They would still be fed crop milk by the parents. Then the parents feed regurgitated feed to the young.

Not sure what you have tried, but have you tried thawed green peas. I have to put the pea in mouth and close the beak so they swallow. They give nutrition and hydration in one go.

That’s the issue we don’t know which the parents are and I know how to tube feed like I said the other pigeon rats and is younger this one seems a bit older I’ve raised them before but have never had this issue

I have not! I will have to try it because he sure will not take the tube feedings!!!

Frozen green peas thawed in hot water then allowed to cool to baby formula temperature is what I have been successful with. At first give one pea at a time, with practice and cooperation you can give 2 or 3 at once. For these little guys I'd estimate they could take 20-30 peas to fill the crop. It really doesn't take long. I usually have the peas in a container with a bit of warm water, so the peas are wet when fed. Then of course wait for the crop to empty . @CCUK has had excellent results with honey for the wounds. Keep us updated on their progress if you can.

A side note - only once did I have a bird absolutely refuse to swallow peas. Turned out to have canker, probably in the throat and crop as well. Sadly she died at 7 weeks.

i I had a chick with this problem. Epson salt soaks, oral & topical antibiotics and wrapping her head in vet wrap worked, but it took a long time.
