emergency please need help ASAP (Oh no.. now Mr perty is feeling bad)Graphic description

Dang Zaz, that's so so so sad. I'm so sorry you lost him, he too was another gorgeously stunning bird.
I am sure you are a mess over this, but did you do a necropsy? Do you think the 2 losses may be related?
Wish I had more to offer than my just sympathies. I hope you are able to get to the bottom if it, and quickly.

Altho you could not save him, hopefully deep down under all the hurt and sorrow just knowing that you gave
that bird a wonderful life up until his last day gives you a little comfort.
If only all of our Peas had such a great
place to live, range, thrive and be as free as yours do...

I hope this is your last loss... I feel for you and how you must be feeling

Thanks Peeps for the kind words.
He passed at 6:30 PM and it was already dark here, i am going to do an autopsy this morning, at the very least i will know if he was injured, I did not have room in the barn fridge to put him till morning and was hopping the weather would keep him cool till this morning as it was 54 last night, but as luck would have it it has gotten up to 60 degrees this morning and we had frost on the ground yesterday morning.

I did spread him out on the pen floor so it should be easer to work on him this morning but i do not know how easy it is going to be to do the autopsy with rigger set in.
I will let you know what i find, i am just waiting for daylight to come so i can get started.

I am not sure if it is related to lady as i never saw the infection i saw in her after she passed , his airway was clear but i did see a bit of clear mucas in his mouth like spit so i do not think it was an infection .

Poor guy was gasping for air around 4pm and i kept checking him and finding nothing, in his airway, i just don't know what was wrong, eyes clear, no ruffled feathers ,nothing visible in the airway .

Thanks again.

I will let ya'll know how far i get and what i find.

I did not find a thing wrong or that i think was wrong except there was alot of clear mucus in his mouth whereas Lady did not have that.
I kept the head and as graphic as it sounds i am freezing it and am going to try and cut it in half with my scroll saw to see what was going on in there.
I am culling roos today so i am going to cull late this evening and save one till morning to see if mucus is normal in a bird, mabe it will help me figure things out.

I am just at a loss.
