Just scramble and cook the egg alone, no seasonings or oil. Do you have Gatorade or any other sports drink that replaces electrolytes? Pedialyte, electrolytes for sick children also works well. If not, there are homemade recipes for it here on BYC. Other than that, just keep him quiet and warm, and let him rest. And do make sure the local animal control AND the police know what happened. Where are you? In many places, cock-fighting is illegal, and your lovely neighbors can get into a great deal of trouble for it.How do I make the scrambled eggs? Is it just the egg or do I add oil and salt or just the egg and salt or is it just the eggs scrambled
Have you seen the chicken slings people make here. If he has a hard time standing that is the thing to do. Find a plastic dish pan or tote Take a towel and drape it over the side and clamp in down somehow. Then make 2 holes for his legs. Then he can be off his legs for a while and rest. Clean him up. Wash gently. Put some antibiotic ointment on his wounds. And put food for him. and water. Give him anything he will eat don't worry if it's a treat. Keep him warm inside. I will say something now that you might not want to hear. Sometimes the best we can do for our chickens is love them. And sometimes that means we don't want them to suffer. So please don't let him suffer. He may have to be put down but that would mean you love him enough to let him be pain free. Good luck I hope he gets better. So do I leave him in his own room and bed and leave him there and check once in a while?
Exactly!!!! Lots of um...good questionsHow in the world did they get your roo? Did they open your pen or coop and take him? Stealing plus animal abuse? Poor thing how long did they have him and how did you get him back? Sure hope he recovers. Keep him in a quiet place and offer him some tepid water with electrolytes or Nutri drench. Don’t let him have water with out supervision if he can’t hold his head up. If you have Veterycin for wounds and infection would be good to use since it can safely be used around the eyes.
Where are your parents? If you are not able to cook safely on the stove by yourself and don’t have someone to help you you could microwave the eggs instead.
Sorry, not to sound rude, but I don’t know how old you are and your “youngchickenboy” name... I have known 6 year olds that care for chickens on their own but we’re not allowed to use the stove.
