Emergency "service"?

I live in NC and I live where it is very rural I think that is the word anyhow my husband was having heart problems his heart would go fast then slow and normally I can find his pulse anywhere on his body it is THAT STRONG but I couldn't so I started to call the doctor then he told me to call the squad (abulance) Five abulances came and a fire truck I saw GEMS these I am told they come when it is very bad> I ran out in tears thining they know something I don't but this is the norm they said this is how it is now. I followed what I thought was his abulance but it didn't follow the rioute we take so I got to the hospital BEFORE the abulance did I got in and went to him he has A afibulation. But they were there in minutes and they have one was a stones thow away to 6 miles away to I am not sure where all were from but they got here ZIP BANG.

The abulance who said about the workers having to have orders I can take but the dispatch I would chew her out and talk to the sup then go as far as I could to get the message to who ever is at the top of all of it and let them know what had happened and what you saw you should also if you have another time of this happening is get the name and if they have a number like worker 72 that way they can track down why the call wasn't given out and tell the higher person what you saw and how long it took and if I was the guty I would sue the worker dispatch for not sending the squad it could of been a life or death.

I didn't read all but did the guy make it is he ok??

I later (just this year) found out that he was telling everyone that asked that I was let go because I had seizures. Though true that I do every few years, it had nothing to do with it an giving the public my medical history broke federal the patent confidentiality act.

I still have my training an am recognized by the state an FEMA so I still volunteer on my own an have replaced some of the community 911 number.

Come work in the Western Cape. We're desperately short on people here.

But seriously, the situation is worrying. A few years ago we helped 2 guys who's car caught fire while they were driving. (I must add here that this is very out of character for me, as I suffer from pyrophobia. I just couldn't for the life of me leave them there though) One of them's arm, neck and face was badly burned and I told the cops on the scene I'm going to take them both home with me, so they can get out of the sun while they wait for the ambulance. It was around 110+ outside that day. We put the worst injured guy in a cold bath and waited and waited... After 2 hours I phoned the emergency service who told me the cops reported the vehicle fire, but said no-one got injured. The ambulance arrived within minutes.

The guy is still in hospital. His co-worker said he's feeling better, but they are doing tests to figure out exactly what's wrong with him.
