Heat water in water bottles and wrap them in a towl it works nicely unless u have a heat lamp.

Thats a good one, will do. Any guesses ongender too? IFits a roo, and its doing food, off to the feed store...

Looks like it's about 4 weeks old. Can't tell the breed but it looks like a roo.
Hope you can save it.

I am going to be the voice of reason this morning - probably considered the bad guy -

You should have never put the chick in with your own chickens. As long as 10 - 12 weeks (even longer) from now if any of your chickens show signs of illness of any sort you can trace it back to this one chick being introduced into your flock.

Biosecurity is a MUST even when rescuing a lone wild chick.

Good luck with it and your flock.

Well said MissPrissy.
What's done is done but now you know. So many people have lost chickens because of that.
I too hope your flock is okay as well as the chick.

Plus if it was a wild chicken and you don't plan to keep it if it's a roo than I think I would just let it go back in the area where it was found... I dunno, maybe not...

OK its alive!!! But, my hen got to it(knocked down the cage) and attacked it. Its inside now(convinced MIL).

I will care for it as long as its not crowwing(thats just how I am...)
