Hi everyone

I recently got 2 new baby ducklings. 1 Buff Duck, Peach and 1 Silver Appleyard, Daisy. Since day 1 Peach has had extreme separation anxiety from me. She screams and jumps around if me or my husband aren’t next to her. Sometimes that’s not even enough,we have to physically interact with her. She’s now about 2 weeks old and hasn’t gotten any better. Our other duck is very calm and happy. I wanted to know if anyone has experienced anything similar.

I haven't but it sounds cute!

What age were they when you got them? Sounds like she imprinted on humans more than ducks. She should get better in time, and with help from Daisy.
They were maybe 2 days old when we got them. We ordered them from Metzer farms. That’s what I was thinking also that she must have imprinted on us. I’m just surprised that one duck imprinted on humans and the other one didn’t.

This may not work but try putting a mirror in with your ducklings. Mine had more than one duckling in the brooder but they loved looking at themselves. Also there is a toy for chickens {TSC} it's a ball that you can put treats into and they roll it around and the treats come out as they roll it. { I used dried mealworms] they had a blast with that.

Thanks! That sounds like a good idea
