Ultrasound? I didn't know that it's possible to do that with eggs! I always thought of babies and people who were ill.

They must have been very aromatic. I can't wait to see pictures when you hatch some babies!

hey guys. i went and opened up the eggs today. all of them stunk like crazy... so i had like 3 left and they had been sitting for like 3 days now.. i took my power drill with a screw and screwed into the egg to make a hole.... and well what i got was a lot a lot of blood. i was so upset. it was a chick... it had everything!! there was a lot of blood in the shell... and a lot of the yolk and stuff was still there .. i believe it was dead already... and all this time i thought he wasnt doing his job

so yeah now i hope for next year :-(

Awww, I'm sorry you didn't get any eggs to hatch out this year. That's been the case with us for the past two years.... until this morning when I woke up to find these two in the run with Enoch, the "papa" emu. I took them away to place in our brooder so they'll be hand raised and hopefully quite tame. Enoch still has several eggs under him so we're anticipating more chicks. LOL, anyone want a chick or several?
