Emu eggs yet?

‘tame to humans but still able to get away from them if need arises’
Foulman

Perhaps philosopically – emu-sophically – all that matters is ‘get away from them if need arises,’ whether that is in a large or small space. I’m surprised that no one has ever noted one obvious point: captive birds live much longer, and some do so in much less stressful environments (certainly than woodwardi in the desert!).

The Answer to The Sounds Thing will be to get some quality recordings, and post them. I will start this next year, when my U.N. Grant comes through. I gonna hold my opinion ‘til I’ve figured a bunch of stuff out!

Found one yesterday.......yes. As soon as I know they are breeding well ill have some to sell....

My females boom. My males never have. The females walk about swaying their booming sacks like an unbridled boosum. They will boom here...go boom there.....here a boom there a boom....My males will grunt...like a stalling weed wacker grunt....both sexes hiss or do a something in your throat hiss. Lol.

ES Emus, did you photoshop the hat on the emu? I didn't have much luck.

Hey Sheriff!
I would love to take credit for that picture, but actually I found it on the Internet last Christmas and cut and pasted it as my seasonal Facebook icon! I do like your emu's scarf though, good job!
