I never noticed but do chicken eggs loose weight while developing??
so with the emus, do they have mates for life??

Yep all eggs lose weight while developing. You can see in chicken eggs as the air bubble gets bigger. In the wild they don't mate for life but if captivity they tend to stay in pairs.

I Have 11 days till I stop Turning. I am hoping all three hatch. The owner of the birds told me they were the first eggs of three pairs of the season and not to expect much.

In the late spring the Emu ranch where I work will sell eggs that they are not going to incubate. If you can wait till then..... Contact me via message here. you can also go on ebay and get some but they are kinda expensive. about 40 to 60 per egg.
They eat pellets similar to chicken feed they are omnivorous like chickens they eat surprisingly little compared to their size.
