5 of the 7 eggs laid so far...

I'm expecting Egg Nr 8 tomorrow to add to Incubator.

picked up the cleanest three eggs today to go into the incubator on Tuesday. Left two in the nest, hopefully will get another egg for the incubator tomorrow night before we start incubating. The incubator was started today and it is holding a steady 96.5 degrees F.

four eggs were just put into the incubator, hatch time should be around February 20...

new egg which was laid sometime last night was collected this morning. Outside temperature was 26 F! The egg is being kept at room temperature until late this afternoon so its temperature has a chance to warm up, then it will go into the incubator with the other four eggs...

I cant wait to hear more news! I just found out that as a belated Christmas present I will be getting some emu eggs!!

I only ask 'cause Book-Learnin' Guy him say lay egg at dusk, and I am still puzzling over Whether Emus Do Stuff At Night. Patience will tell us.
