Here is my new coop. It is a great way to convert part of an already built shelter. I like the way it worked out. I would like to enter it in the contest.

Hi All,

I'm a complete newbie. I've never posted anywhere before and I I'm just getting into chickens. You couldn't be any greener than I am. But I'm trying hard. Please forgive any errors.

I spent the winter lurking on your web site and learned a great deal, built a chicken coop and ordered my barred rocks. They come in May and I'm very excited. Meanwhile, I'll enter the competetion if it isn't too late. Here is the link to my web page.

I hope the link works! If it doesn't give me a few hours and I'll fix it.

Omran,

Wow! I already got a reply!! I wish I knew how to do this properly, but thank you for the compliment. Now I better go tuck in the pets. It's getting late on the East Coast.

No chicks yet, Tiff. They arrive on the 18th of May. 25 barred rocks. I'm hoping they can free range and be closed in at night. That may be unrealistic. If so, I'll be building a tractor. There are really some wonderful designs and pictures on the internet. That would be a fun project.

I enjoyed watching the adventures of Gopherboy. Well done. All kidding aside, for a joker, that's some serious construction.

I free range mine and they go in by themselves every night, all of the people who don't have chickens who i've told this to are like 'wow, really?'
