Enrichment for disabled chicken?

Is she eating to much or is this from something else? If it’s from food I wouldn’t give her food as enrichment. If it’s unrelated, my girls love a plastic bottle hung from their coop roof! It has holes drilled in it and I fill it with scratch, they peck it and the scratch falls out and they can eat it off the ground, they spend hours doing that! Of course you can’t give it to them often bc scratch is not a replacement for their feed!

No, it's not from food. She's a BR, so she's bred to be fat. This is a great idea! I can definitely do this.

Are you sure? I had 12 BRs at a time, now only 2 of that breed, but they weren’t exactly fat. A large standard breed but they did not have trouble moving around.

I've had 2 BRs. They were both very fat. All of my chickens get the same amount of food each day, but only my BRs were ever fat.
I've tried to help them lose weight. I took them out for extra exercise, gave no treats, made them run around more, but nothing helps.
When she was younger, she could get on and off the roosts. It's only been for the past few months where she has really completely stopped hopping up onto anything.

It may be from her joints being an older chicken. The joints may just be worn.

Wow! None of my BRs are to fat to do anything, either that or all of my hens are fat and I can’t tell a difference
