Coopa, that's super helpful - thanks! I did see the comparsion chart, and I guess I wondered if the larger screen wouldn't make it a bit easier to read, but it's only 1" larger, that can't make a HUGE difference!

Wynette, I can access Facebook from my kindle and it is the older basic model. I REALLY want the Kindle Fire. Color and touch and internet access in a compact device. I subscribe to two FB pages that post several links for free books every day. I now have more books that I can possibly read.

I also have the cover with the little book light the pulls out when needed.

Frustrating isn't it? Ken is an IT Professional and he researched ALL e-readers to death and decided on the kindle as the best value, and had the highest rated performance. Which is why I have it. And I LOVE it!!!! I feel naked when I forget it, like I did today.
