In fact i have the same problem on two of my computers too. The symptoms are:

• You try to upload a picture, the browser opens a file-select window
• You select the file(s) to upload and click on the Open button
• The transmission starts and at some point an error message from the BYC web-site opens up

It is not my network or internet connection, i can upload pictures directly from my phone to BYC - which i do most of the time since my phone is also my digital camera. I cannot upload larger files (> 1MiB) from any of my work computers to BYC. Surprisingly i can upload several hundred MiB long Videos to YouTube…
My primary suspect is the Mac Affee Anti-virus that is installed on both of my work-laptops, it might intercept long running JavaScripts.
Must try uploading a picture from my personal computer, no Mac Monkey installed there, just the Windows Avenger - if i have the time…

New problem for me today. BYC dont want to load especially when you are trying to change pages . I am not the only one.

That's nice, but it will not solve my upload problems with the Firefox, MS-IE, MS-Edge, Opera and the Vivaldi browser.

Did you guys try what Nifty said and make the images smaller? Many phones and cameras take pictures that are very large.

It could all be computer related-- adware, trojans, Odd extensions installed on the browser. Try starting chrome with extensions off and try uploading an image again
