This comes from a FB conversation. Has anyone tried it? Do you know where it comes from and how it is made? Or do you simply say no because it is snails?

Me? LOVE IT!!!! Looks like a mushroom, sauteed in butter and garlic, it is NOT slimy. It is NOT your garden snail plucked off a rose bush and tossed in a pan!

eeewwww! And I'm from Mississippi, we eat EVERTHING here.

except snails

I would like to try them though. But then again....

My husband orders them sometimes but I cannot bring myself to try them. They just look gross in their tiny little holes in the plate and the way you have to dig them out of there with a tiny fork. IDK why but I just can't help but think of what happens when you put salt on snails

now you're talkin' I love both, Like Conch raw with melted butter.
I'd try escargot if I ever was at a place that served it, just never had a chance.

It is a rare find, and if you ever do see it on a menu, PLEASE order it. If you love conch, you will adore escargot.
