Ethel and Irma have grown into beautiful Cockerels...breed is still a mystery to me!

Thanks, all....this makes much more sense to me now! I just wish I could find something that would show the differences between each of those crossbreeds. I found a chart that shows most of the combinations that make different crossbreeds but it didn't show or describe the resulting chickens.

So just from looking at pictures, how would one know which kind of red sex link a particular chicken is? Not that I need to hone that ability for any reason except that I'm a total obsessive geek.

Just for fun, here's a pic from today of "Irma"...getting more and more beautiful every day! I can't believe how gorgeous his feathers are!!! They're equal to the beauty of his crow. I really hope this guy doesn't turn on us because so far, he is an excellent rooster!

At what age can you usually tell what the temperament of a rooster will be? This cockerel is still only eight weeks old...and definitely needs a new name!
