ever been attacked by a guinea ??

wondering if anybody has ever been attacked like this. she definently didnt want anybody touching her keets. dad didnt seem to know what to do though.

When it comes to a female with keets you had better be quicker than she is. They are ferociously protective of their babies.

I have to be careful when I go out to take pictures of the guineas, Juju, my tame one, HATES the camera and will attack if I don't keep an eye on her. She has put a nasty scratch on my hand because I wasn't watching her.

Not only do guineas protect their young ones, they are like dragons if they have gone broody and are on the nest. My Uncle one day decided to get the hen off the nest so he could take some eggs and Man, she about whipped his butt for days.

She was not happy at all. I had one come after me and I took her warning and left the keets with her.

Last year I got five eggs from them and then nothing since. If you collect the eggs every day will they still go broody like some chickens?
