I know I am sick, sick, sick of reality TV. I remember when there was one, and I think it was on MTV. I have to admit I am a fan of a few(NOT sister wives ), but thats only because there isn't much else on anymore. I miss the shows like Alice. The Cosby show was a big one when we were growing up too.

ROFL I should probably clarify that the reason I don't remember some of these shows is not always due to age. We weren't allowed to watch most sitcoms. Lucy and Andy Griffith were allowed. Mr. Ed was allowed. Bewitched & I dream of Genie were allowed. Leave it to Beaver was NOT allowed....

Interesting choices .. allowed and not allowed .. lol

Raised by grandparents.

They didn't like how the kids on Beaver talked to the adults...considered them disrespectful.

Strangely, Brady Bunch was allowed...though with strong reservations. ROFL.

Yes, I grew up on reruns...

Oh? And, most things that were animated slipped by under the guise of Saturday Morning cartoons. So, my younger sister snuck by with the Smurfs. However, Wonderwoman was NOT okay... ROFL Strawberry Shortcake & Holly Hobbie were apparently considered quite wholesome, though.

Crazy!

Boy am I glad I am not the only one that remembers that show. I loved it! I was just watching clips on YouTube and I was surprised at how much it changed and how long it ran. That was back when TV was innocent entertainment, back before Reality TV invaded

I loved that show too! It has been a long time since they have run it on TV. I am not even sure Des has ever seen it!

I don't even know what show you're talking about...

I can't even explain why either, but I hear the theme song and everyone in the house is scrambling for the remote

At least there were no trees in that ditch row! I'm glad all turned out well with it.

Katelyn...hmmm....

He got pretty darn lucky really! There are a few ditches out here deep enough to roll him over

Shudder. I remember our neighbor boy (years back...not up here) stealing the family car one night. He was about 14 at the time. Yup, you guessed it. He flipped it in the middle of the night...in a water filled ditch. Somehow that boy made it out of the car alive, walked home, snuck back into bed, and left the car there. In the morning, the car wasn't in the drive. I'm not sure how long it took him to fess up to being the thief.

I've seen SO many cars flipped upside down in those ditches out around where we used to live. More than once I've crawled down in to make sure there wasn't a person in the car. The scariest was the time that one was partly submerged and the radio was still going and the tires were still spinning. No people, though. Turns out they were all illegal immigrants and had taken off for the trees... Didn't know that then, of course. I was sure I was going to find people hanging from the seatbelts or dead under water.
