Check back at 3 pm for Destiny on the air. She is running the Derry Brownfield show right now, then gets a few hours off, has a program to run at 2 and will be back talking at 3. She just told me that she isn't sure her voice will hold out all day though. She is doing such a great job with having to read all the cancellations and with it being Wednesday and church night, we have had tons!! The station we were worried about yesterday did go off the air last night, but we got it up and running this morning.
The roads were horrible going home last night with the snow falling so hard. There was a fatality accident right as you turn off the highway to go to our house yesterday afternoon. This morning the roads were still pretty snow/ice covered, but we didn't have too much problem getting around. Every where the snow has been plowed is that darned layer of ice from the brief rain/sleet yesterday afternoon. The winds are really whipping here and the temp continues to drop. We were taken out of the blizzard warning a little bit ago and are now under a winter weather advisory.
My animals were none too happy this morning either. Thunder barely made it out the door, did his business and right back in. The cats were tucked in the hay in their boxes on the porch, Nester even went in their house last night, but that darned turkey was laying by the hut again. Silly bird!
