Good Morning Good Morning! Sitting here at dad's. He's still asleep! He was a little confused yesterday but I think he has been dreaming hard and missing mom. Other than a few things he is confused on, he is his old self. He's sleeping good now so I think things are good here. My DD is doing good. She is going to go to the Dr. and get checked out. She thinks she may have some issues that need tending to. She is in good spirits and taking things in stride. The way we both look at it is, if she is meant to have another baby, she will. Only time will tell.
It was darn cold here this morning but the wind isn't blowing and the sun is shining so it wasn't bad feeding this morning. I took care of the chickens first. There was already one egg layed so I stuck it in my pocket to take in the house. Well, when I crawled into the hay loft to throw down some hay.......yeah, you guessed it. I had scrambled egg in my pocket!! Yuck! Good thing I had another coat to wear.
I have a red heat lamp on my girls. I never have left a light on them. When they started laying they layed for a year straight until they started molting. They were slow to start laying when they were young but layed a plenty when they got started. Have patients....they'll come through!
Thanks for the recipes! I am going to make Oreo balls this weekend. Never had them or tried them but they sound too easy not to try. Also, I got a great idea off the food network this weekend. You take a cookie sheet and put one of those rubber mats in it. Silpat? I think it's called. Take metal cookie cutters and spray them with pam inside and out and put on the mat. Next take metal ends for piping bags and set them kinda in the middle top part. Then take candies like lifesavers and jolly ranchers and put them in the mold. Put in the oven @ 350 for 6 mins. Set out to cool then carefully trim off the excess and pull out the metal piping bag end. You have an edible stain glass looking candy ornament that you can put a ribbon on and have on the tree! I hope I explained that right. They look really neat. I bake cookies with the grandkids every year and I am going to try this. Hope they turn out!!!
