Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

quiet I am the same way about people! My hubby called me while I was on the interstate reassuring me that I would be fine. I said " But there's people there!"
barnie.gif
I had no idea that was a sign until today. When he first came home from the hospital he had no short term memory. I would tell him I was going to use the bathroom, by the time I returned he was crying because he didn't know where I was. He couldn't walk yet so he would just sit on the couch propped up with pillows. So we have seen him come a very long way.

Is your son ok now? You must have been really scared.

OK I will finish it by myself.

What did you make for supper?

rir I bought a bottle of Tequila today so there is plenty, come on over!

Algo that is pretty cool! We have a fire pit in our front yard. It actually got to 50 today and now you have me thinking about a fire! How is your hubby doing? It sounds like he is keeping busy. There is probably plenty of things around your place to keep him busy if you are anything like us! Our to do list is always long! Now hubby has started this bathroom remodel project.

That sounds exactly like what I tell Ed about going to the store and stuff

, at least I can laugh at myself now when I get home. I enjoy the quiet of home, and sometimes not so quiet depending on what projects we're doing.
That sounds really scary
hugs.gif
, how old was he and what caused the accident, if you don't mind me asking? Sounds like he's made a LOT of progress

.
Scott is almost a teen now and doing a LOT better in many ways. I'm really dreading June cause we both have birthdays then
hide.gif
We all celebrated when he finally learned to read when he was 10
woot.gif
. I've home-schooled him, and my girls too, so he got a lot of extra 1 on 1 time
thumbsup.gif
. I also did a lot of research and learned that boys typically read later anyways, it just took him longer than most. He's actually better at Spelling than my youngest girl now, drives her crazy. She has dyslexia but can read really well. He also had to learn constructive ways to "get his anger out" because he would get so very frustrated at time. He still needs to go chop on a tree sometimes but not really often now
clap.gif
.
Supper tonight is going to be herb baked chicken with Au Gratin potatoes and broccoli an cheese. The chicken is homemade but the rest is boxed, I'm learning new recipes every day and trying to get away from all the processed stuff. Gotta run for a bit and finish cooking supper

in case I don't make it back before your bedtime

But happy for you that you get an extra weekend day.

Did you read where Michelle had to work the next 10 Saturdays
hit.gif
I am so sorry Michelle
hugs.gif
Did you volunteer for that or are you just being torchered!

It is a relief to know that it wasn't a behavioral issue. He has always been a very well behaved boy and I thought this was just part of his "teen" stuff! I can't tell you girls how relieved I am.

Hey, just getting ready to jump in shower but wanted to check back in here befor I did. Got to work tomorrow so going to bed early.
DH is doing good. Even if there wasn't something on our to do list, he would find something to do. That man just makes up stuff to do. He asked me if there is anything that can be planted in this weather. He is from Mexico and still has not learned all the gardening rules like how ya can't plant anything in the 40s lol. I told him to wait till Feb. and he could put in some potatoes if he wanted to. We just might have potatoes from our own garden this year if he does not get a job soon! Since I have to work tomorrow and Sat. that will give him 2 days to spend quality time with our 2yo son. They will both love that. My house will look like a tornado hit it by Sunday.

I wont be on here so much till Mon. prolly so yall have a good weekend!

I dread birthdays too! I have a "big" one coming up this year

I am glad Scott is doing so much better now. It sounds like it is all due to your awseome parenting! I envy you being able to home school. I always wanted to stay at home with Raymond when he was little but his Dad wouldn't have it. Then I was a single Mom for a long time. I was working when I remarried. So I just continued to do so. Then when Raymond got out of the hospital I just quit my job. I hadn't worked the whole 6 weeks he was hospitalized. It will be 3 years in July and it really works for our family. My hubby works hard to make it possible and we own two rental properties.

Raymond was in a serious ATV accident when he was 12. His skull was crushed from ear to ear. He had a puncture wound in his right temple from a tree branch. I could literally see in to his head. It was horrifying. The surgeon put his head back together with pins and plates and 50 + staples. He removed particles of dirt and leaves from the brain along with small amounts of damaged brain matter. He was in a coma for 20 days and in rehab after wards. Believe it or not, he was wearing a helmet! THAT is what saved his life. He went off a 60 ft cliff and the ATV bounced off of the helmet and landed in a creek. He was a scrawny 60 pounds if it would have landed on him he would have been crushed. He didn't have a scratch on him! It was just his head. I am very grateful just to still ahve him here, the things I learned today are a bonus.

Your supper sounds great! If you ever have any questions about doing something from scratch just holler. Almost everything I do is from scratch. Also if you ever need a recipe or an idea, Charmed is the best! She comes up with all kinds of yummy things. I knew I would be busy today so I threw pork chops, rice, cream of mushroom soup, mushrooms, onions and beef broth in the crock pot and left it! House smelled great when I got home.
