Yowzers! That's one seriously bad-ass tigerfish! (HA HA. No. I'm not showing off. I had to google and find out what it was...)

Today was one of those days that makes you go BAH!!! Found out I have roof damage from a hail storm a month ago. BAH. How serious it is I don't know yet. We'll see. It also damaged my central air conditioning unit -- smushed a bunch of the fins. BAH!

There. I feel better.

That game was one of the best games I have ever watched! We didn't get home until 4 am.

Colton was in a car wreck yesterday afternoon so I finished off my weekend in a hospital. Still here waiting for doc...

Hello ladies!

I've been having some connection problems here. Good ol' ATT! Spent an hour on the phone with them one day this weekend. Guy finally determined it was in the city to city lines and not mine or my equipment. Sent my things through to some other department which called me and left a message ten minutes later that they'd tested my lines and they were fine. DUH. It's still not right and somehow the weird tests they ran uninstalled my modem connection! I had to dig out the discs...

Have also had an ?injured? sick ? button quail -- one of the young ones. It's not contagious - none of the others are ill. He was doing an extreme head tuck, all the way up under his abdomen, super hyperactive, running into things, would lose balance and roll around like a bowling ball. I've been treating it with boiled eggs dosed with bird vitamins & electrolytes dosed with bird vitamins & it is 80% better. No balance loss any more, head is still tucked a bit, but it is getting around fine. No problems EVER eating and drinking -- super huge appetite. It's back to a normal activity level, too. I'm not ready to declare it healed. Time will tell...even if the neck curl remains somewhat permanent, I can live with that. i just want the little thing to have a decent life.

Hmm. I may have roof damage from hail a month ago. How's that for another fun way to spend a week? Had a big mess last Friday dealing with that. Was in the shower and my son told me THERE ARE PEOPLE ON OUR ROOF! Turns out they were at the wrong house - but I had the cops on the way already (had him call) before I could even get dressed. Anyway, there was a big hail storm through our area while I was at the Ren Fair a month ago and I didn't even know it! WHY ON EARTH did no one mention it to me at work? Ugh. Apparently there was 5.5 inch hail East of me a few miles. I had company that weekend so never had the news on... Asked them about my roof since they were up there anyway and they said there was damage. I later climbed up myself and while I'm no roofer I can see small marks from the hail & there is debris in my gutters from shingles. Urgh. So, I'll be calling more companies.

Hmm. What else. Bought another small coop yesterday. I'll try to take pictures. It's brand new and just right for 3-4 quail. I like bigger but it would do for 3-4.

Found it on Craigslist and drove an hour each way to get it, LOL. It's cute, what can I say. So, now I need eggs to incubate. I have two quail pens empty and another that will be empty once I buy/make a different style cage for the two buttons in there. (Hey, there are two buttons in there. It could house 4-6 coturnix easily.)

I keep telling you all he is going to be the death of me!! He is a very lucky boy, the girls are in worse shape right now. Hopefully we will get to come home in a day or 2.
