Caught another coon Fri nite. Killed a possum in the chicken house Sat nite. I got up about 3 this morning to take some pills and saw another mama coon and 3 babies by the back porch! I swear, they had better stay away from me or I will have coon BBQ!!

Good grief! Those coons are pounding your place, bringing all their friends! By the time you are done, you will be qualified to be hired out to take care of everyone's critters! Were you looking for a part time job? lol

What about those coons? ,am. I think you just need to put a live chicken in a live trap in the middle of the yard and just sit there in a chair and pick them off one by one as they approach! dang things and a oppassum-ewww they are sooo ugly!!!

Oh yeah, last year we used straw, gravel everything we could to get the carnival in. We even had to pull some of the rides in with heavy equipment. I just got back and they are going to haul in gravel and we will go from there. We had quite the storm last night with almost an inch of rain. Porti-potties are blown over out there and there are limbs down all over town. The hardware store right up the street from us lost their roof and part of it took out a parked car! It is fair week. We either get way too much rain or it is hotter than heck. I should be used to it. Deep breaths.

Michelle, I dying to know how everything went last nite! Did NY's prayers for good weather work? I sure hope so. We had bad weather yesterday morning but it has been clear ever since.
NY..I think I need to find some kind of deterent that I can use around the perimeter of the yard to keep the coons away. Just as soon as I think I have them gone, more move in!
Hi Guys! I finally made it back to you! It has been a hectic morning after. Thanks for the prayers, the sun did shine and along with the gravel, it turned out to be a pretty good evening! A girl from Clinton with an amazing voice won and will advance to regionals in South Dakota in November. All the contestants were great and I am glad I didn't have to judge!
