Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Morning all!
NY I hope your day is going good. I am so sorry you had such a rough go of it yesterday. Sometimes it just plain sucks to be a grown up, doesn't it!! My DH always says he would do anything to be 8 again. Back when Christmas was magical and bills were Dads responsibility!

Charmed and Michelle we got our cold front too! Brr! It got down in the 20s last night. It was 57 in my bathroom this morning!

DH got the sprinklers and the water pump put away yesterday. The camper still needs winterizing but I can run the heat in there to keep things from freezing until he gets time.

Well girls my DS is having his first girl trouble and he is devastated! I don't know what to do for him. I talked to him but of course I can see right through the teenage poopoo and he can't. Oh why didn't I have that amazing super power when I was a teenager? Just think of all the broken hearts we could have avoided?! I feel horrible for him.

Here is the story. First "girlfriend". I use quotes because they never hang out, have never been on a date, nothing! They chat on-line and on the phone and between classes. DS has been grounded the past week or so. That means no contact except at school. Yesterday she tells him this story about how her little brother came into her house and snuck up behind her only when she turned around it wasn't her little brother but another boy who kissed her and ran away!

Rumor has it (kids are so cruel to even say these things( that her and the boy did, well you know!

I don't believe that but I also don't believe her story. What do you do? Just let it be and hope he keeps talking to me? Last night he was just sobbing and hiding in his room. DH is not exactly sympathetic when it comes to things like this so we just kept it to ourselves for now. He has been telling him he shouldn't have a girlfriend anyway. He is probably right an d this is proof but doesn't make the poor kid feel any better. He thinks he loves her. This is the first girl he told he loved her, you know its a huge deal for him. He was crying when he left for school this morning. He said all day yesterday kids were running up to him asking him if he had heard about his girlfriend?!!

I knew when I sneezed on the keyboard that someone would probably catch it from me! I am sorry!

I am feeling much better, my appetite is not back to full swing, but that isn't a bad thing! I am still waiting on the pm...Just remember, it is Friday and the weekend is only a few hours away!!

It is Homecoming here. Parade this afternoon. We play the Lexington Minutemen who are 5-0, we are 1-4, so not much hope, but still excited anyway!

Good Morning All! Wow, what busy lives we lead. I sure hope everyone gets to feeling better.
Michelle, I haven't gotten the tics yet. I wonder if they got lost in the mail? When I was working for a post office transportation place I found a letter stuck in a container from 1977! Good luck on the game tonight and bundle up!
Chickenchick, my DD is in Denver now and she is sending me pics with her coat on! And she found snow... Stay warm! I hope your DS overcomes his heartbreak. Being a teen is tuff!
NY..I hope you have a quiet weekend of rest. You deserve it!

I thought we wouldn't ever make it through and girls are so much different. We ate lots of ice cream, happy meals, movies, walks, hanging out with friends. I don't think boys want any part of that, so that probably won't work. I haven't been through it with Colton yet, so I look forward to learning from you! I can only say be there for him, don't let him shut down and let him know you understand. (even if you don't quite get it). Kids these days seem so much crueler than they used to be and I thought we had it rough in high school. Colton's friend Luke. His Mom left his dad and the 4 kids for another woman!! Wouldn't you like to be a teenaged boy and have that happen to you?? If someone says something, he handles it well and can even joke about it, but I just want to wrap him in my arms and beat everyone else up! He is such a sweet boy. It will take time, life will go on and your son will pull through and find a decent good girl for himself, he just hasn't figured that out yet. Help him Mom!

It is black out day today, so I already have my hoodie on. We do have protection over the stands, but I am still babying my ear and worried about it. Colton is already out of school for the day! They have an early out and he doesn't go to vo tech today, so he got out at 9:30!

Thanks for the pep talk! I am anxious to hear how his day went. She is his age but has had several BFs. This is his first. This weekend is our towns Centennial Celebration so I am hoping to keep him occupied with the parade, car show and lunch out. There is a new place he hasn't eaten at yet. So I am hoping we can do that. Although the weather isn't really cooperating for a parade! Brr!

oooh homecoming!!! Hope you have a great time Oh and the not eating thing when sick-been there I love it when that happens-I was in the hospital one time for 6 days and didnt lose an ounce!!!! I never at a thing in hospital but jello and chicken broth!
