I am so glad the sale went good for you. I do one every couple of years or so. They seem to be so much work!
Thank you every one for your helpful advice about DS.
You all made me feel like I was doing the right thing. It is just so hard to watch them go through this kind of thing. I am sorry I jinxed you too
Michelle! How is Colton doing? This wouldn't happen if we didn't have such darn good looking offspring!!!!!
The newest update is a "friend"(lets call her Hope
) of the GF, gave DS a note that went between GF and the boy she says she doesn't have anything to do with. In it she professes her undying love to boy #2. It reads painfully similar to an e-mail my DS got from her telling him the same CRAP! GF denies she wrote it and GF Mom is texting the friends trying to accuse the girls of sabotaging her daughter!!
Texting them!! I think the Mom belongs in HS too and I am SO glad you girls told me to "lay low"! I believe there may be a point when a Mom needs to intervene, but I don't think this even came close. My parents intervened only when the guy I thought was so wonderful got caught stealing from my Dads work!
Worse the Homecoming dance is friday and the game is Saturday! He wanted to take her and now he is pretty sure she will be there with boy #2. After all,he is a sophomore!! Her and DS are freshmen. I told him to go with his buddy who doesn't have a date either and just have fun!!
The Centennial was a great time. We spent the day with DS, DH folks and 2 of our nephews that were spending the weekend with DH folks. We did the car show and the parade. Main street was blocked of and people just mingled and socialized. It was pretty chilly but a good time none the less. MIL and I got chilly and ducked into the drug store for a cup of coffee. It is a VERY old drug store that still has and operates the old fashioned fountain. You remember the kind with the huge mirror back bar, the bar stools, ice cream cones, milk shakes and fountain pop! It is really a neat old place, squeaky floors and all!
We ended the day with all of us going tout to dinner together. I think I told you that DS had never been there. He really liked the food and wants to go again! So it was a busy weekend which meant we spent yesterday catching up around here as DH was off until today.
NY I got a kick out of your story about the girl and guy texting behind the boyfriends back! It wasn't funny at the time and sadly it wasn't HS but a few short years ago! I had a boyfriend texting an ex GF while out with me at the bar. He said it was his son. Turns out I got dumped that weekend and found out he had been cheating on me with her (turns out she wasn't the only one) for quite some time as I lived in another town! I felt like a freshman all over again! He was 40 and hadn't grown up yet obviously! I of course was devastated and the heart break felt like HS!! My now DH found out BF broke my heart, gave it a short amount (!!) of time and started his own pursuit! Turns out the heartache was worth it! I would go through it again to get here!
I hope you all and your families are feeling better soon. It is hard enough when we our kids get sick then we get it too!!
