RIR thanks for the advice on the lights, I do have a timer I can set the light into, I will do that. I wondered if the light was helping keep then warm doing the night, but then worried that they weren't sleeping enough? Silly I know, to worry whether chickens are sleeping or not.

Charmed and Michelle-you two need to go to your corners and stop it! Or I will have to quit my job and monitor you guys on here all day! LOL... I went xmas shopping yesterday-sorta-I got bored real quick and was home by 2:30 and dove right into finishing making xmas gifts again-almost done thank goodness-bwteen that and trying to finish my BIL quarterly taxes bleah-then off to my meeting-I didnt get boo for sleep last night and Im feeling right now speech slurred as are my eyes...Gotto love holiday seasons-positive positive positive thinking calgon take me awa.... wait never mind I bought a huge bottle of tequila yesterday woop woop.....

We went shopping yesterday too. Got finished with my Saturday shindig we have to attend anyway. Now, on to wrapping! I hadn't shopped for toys for a while and was shocked how expensive everything has gotten!

It took us FOREVER to pick out something for hubby's nephews. We only see them about once a year, so we have no idea what they have/what to get and to top it off, we couldn't even remember how old they are.

I still have lots more shopping before the big day!

Rir all your song quotes made me miss radio! So yesterday afternoon I actually turned mine on. Hubby came home early( and in a great mood

) The first thing he said, was Whats wrong? Why? You never have the radio on!!

I bought the last gift( I forgot to get my Uncle something) Normally I don't but we are going to his cabin for Christmas. I just have to finish my Aunts egg ornaments, Then I am done! Oh and I still have not finished my cards

I have a hard time sitting still that long!!

I have my chili started. I will cook it all day today. Then warm it up tomorrow. We are going to the "city" for grocery shopping so I need something ready for when we get home. Oh I need to remember the cornbread too! Now, as far as supper for tonight?? NO idea yet!!

Good Morning! Relax everyone....Just a little friendly banter about football....I really don't pay much attention to it any more. Be very glad I'm not a KU fan. Then there would be trouble...right Michelle? LOL!

How's the weather up there? It's sunny and going to be in the 40's today!

Made Oreo balls yesterday. They were real easy to make but didn't have that "wow" factor for me. All you do is crush up a package of Oreo cookies, put in a bowl with a softened package of cream cheese. Mix well. Then make into walnut size balls. Put on a wax lined cookie sheet and refrigerate for an hour. Melt white chocolate. dip balls in it, let set. If you want you can melt dark choc and drizzle over them to make them purty!! I'm going to make some choc chip cookies today...Dad's fav!
I feel for you Michelle....I still have some shopping to do. The good thing about it is I know exactly what I need to get. Still need to do all the wrapping.

Do you all think it would be horrible if I don't put a tree up or decorate this year? I thought we were going to DD's house for Xmas. The cats drug down the tree last year a couple of times and broke ornaments so we opted not to decorate. Now I find out they are coming to my house after all. One group Xmas eve and one on Xmas. Is it going to seem weird to the grandkids that "Mimi" and "Papa" don't decorate for Xmas? I'm really not a scrooge. I have lots of decorations. It just seems different this year with my DM gone and youngest in Denver. I do kinda feel "Bah Humbug". What do you think?

Thanks for the hugs Jazzy. Dad is doing good today. Had dreams of fishing last night and is in a great mood today!

Good morning Charmed! I made those oreo balls last summer. I know what you mean, they sound and look better than they taste. I am sure everyone will love them. My MIL did.

I know this is a tough holiday for you. I don't think you need to decorate. The first Christmas after my parents died I did not feel like it AT all! However Raymond was only a first grader so I felt I had too. All I did was a tree and him and I made a gingerbread house. If you think you need something for your guests, throw on a festive table cloth. put a poinsettia in the the middle of your table and light a few candles around the house. Walla!! Festive AND fast!!
