chickenchick - I've made plenty of mistakes with my kiddos but feel really blessed with how sweet, intelligent and well mannered they are. My oldest girl has been a HUGE help over the years also. I can't believe she'll be 18 at the end of this year. I'll only be 36 since I started havin kids kinda young.
I've been a single Mom for most of my kiddos lives too but am lucky to be with someone who really loves me and my kids and does his best to care for us.
Sounds like we both have sons who really fight, in the good way. Sounds like both you and your son are really really lucky, I can't imagine going through something like that. He's a cutie too, I wouldn't have known he'd had such a bad accident if you hadn't already told me.
I LOVE cooking and am really enjoying fixing things my great-grandma used to cook for me, she was an amazing cook. I love learning new recipes too and my kids aren't picky eaters either
. I'll definitely keep charmed in mind for recipes too
. I do my pork chops like that except I use potatoes instead of rice, yummmmmmy.
Bant - Hope you're having a great day today
Michelle - Sounds like you have a fun job, at least part of the time
. I dated a guy who worked for an auctioneer, he got great deals on stuff too
That was how I got my first PC
Guess that's 1 way to get hubby in gear, lol. My trick is I get a coop, etc... started and then Ed and the kids decide they need to help me so I don't hurt my back, yet again.
My oldest daughter and I are into genealogy too. Both my family and her fathers family are really into tracing our roots. I have and uncle who's written 3 books on our family, after he retired. Sounds like your cemetery project was really cool
My kids family has an old family cemetery we go out and clean, as long as there's still room they can choose to be buried there.
I don't normally sleep in, things have just been kinda crazy here since Amy and her kids got here. Everyone was up really late. Poor Ed was working on getting water going back to the tub till about midnight and then I had to wash a load of clothes so he wouldn't be wearing muddy clothes to work. Can't leave it to run either cause a diaphragm went out in it so if we don't shut the water off it overfills.I'm hopin to see a washer on freecycle soon.
We would want to wait for spring for sure, ground is way to hard right now, lol.
Sonew - I wonder if there's any way you could get the adoption records, it would be really neat I think. Must be kinda frustrating for you. I have a cousin who was adopted out, he'd be a year younger than me, I always wonder if he's alive and doing well. I also have 2 nephews who I'm sure are much better off in their adoptive home than with my older brother and their mom, hopefully some day they will come looking for the rest of their family though, they'd be teens now.
Sorry it's so cold up there but glad it's warming up here. Now it's a matter of patching pipes and stuff here
RIR - I'm so jeleaus, we only had 1 egg outta 4 layers again today. I'll be glad when they get back to laying well. Currently 59 here, yay!!!
Charmed - Hi there, hope you're havin a great day today. That animal sale sounds fun
According to my friend who was buying this place before us, really ling story, a road used to go through our property in civil war times. There was a story about a general hanging soldiers at every mile marker, haven't researched it yet though. I think it would be neat to find the grave, if it's on your part of the farm, and put at least some kind of marker up. It's cool that you found a name of someone who was buried there, now to see if it's the same guy
Wish I could come over and help find it, and visit family too, lol.
Sounds really neat that your neighbors will let you explore. I've seen on "If these walls could talk" where they have found a lot of really neat stuff in those holes
