I am sorry to hear about your pipes. That is one big pain in the rear. We were without power one night for a few hours when it was 25 below. I was worried about all the animals whos heated pads and lights were off and hubby was worried about the pipes

I won't be on much either today. I need to spend some quality time with Raymond and help hubby as much as I can in the bathroom. YES! We are still on that! I did get the paint, shower curtain, rod and rugs yesterday

Oh I wanted to give you an update on Raymonds little friend Nathan. His Mom called yesterday early, just sobbing. Instead of doing a biopsy they concluded it probably was cancer and they needed to remove it right away. He spent about 8 hours in surgery. This boy is unusually small for his age due to some condition he was born with . He only weighs 90 lbs or less so they were concerned about that. He made it through just fine. They said they got 60 to 80% of it and they "think" it is a type 1 cancer. However his step mom that I am in touch with was unsure exactally what that meant but she will update me when she knows anything else. So yours prayers are working, please keep them coming.

its been so cold here...and we have been a bunch of chatter bugs not as much as Michelle and charmed but then again I could never keep up with them anyway

MY BCM EGGS CAME IN TODAY!!!!!!
I bugged the crap out of the clerks at the PO for the past 2 days to watch for my box of eggs so they wouldn't throw them. Even bribed one of the clerks with getting all the mail out of a drop box she was saposed to get herself. (She hates getting out in snow) They still let it get past them and threw it in route 3s tub.

It is all good though. None of them were broken or even cracked. Just hope the air sack is not detatched. Going to set them tomorrow after they have had time to settle. I was so excited I had to open them right there in the PO and make everyone come and look at them. Good thing the postmaster had just left so he couldn't fuss at me to get back to work.

No one could understand what the big deal was about these eggs. Non chicken people just don't get it. It is hard to imagine just how dark BCM eggs really are until you see them in person. I am so excited!!

I hope everyone had a good day today and has a good night. Sorry you lost power Quietheart. Just glad it didn't last any longer than it did.

These are the eggs I am about to set in my bator!! Except for the 8 BCM eggs that came in the mail yesterday, these are from my girls. They are all fathered by my white rock roo.

Good Morning! There is a lot to catch up on!!

I had a pretty quiet weekend of hauling firewood Saturday and not even leaving the house yesterday. We may be getting some freezing rain/snow later today, but we had a beautiful weekend!

chickenchick--I have been thinking of and praying for Raymond's friend Nathan. I hope they got it in time and he will be back to having sleep overs in no time! Please keep us posted!

charmed--How did the weekend go? Are you a rich woman yet?

NY--Sorry you are still not feeling up to par yet! You need to slow down and drink more orange juice!

quietheart--Hope things settle down for you too! Give it a week and maybe everyone will settle into a routine. I love to sleep until 10am! I used to do that a lot on weekends, but it hasn't happened for a long, long time! I would rather stay up all night and sleep in the next day. Unfortunately, my job and family are not on that sechedule!

jazzy--Good news about Butterscotch!! Don't mess around with that blood pressure!
