I am back now! I had to get those bills paid. I was getting really frustrated, then I noticed hubby is still spending the $5 a day we talked about. He used to do that a long time ago, then stopped, then we got a little more comfortable and he is doing it again! Of course he called in the middle of all that! I am not mad at him, I just don't want this to spiral out of control. I have never been one to buy something every day, even when I did work in town. So I just don't understand. So I bit my tongue and didn't say anything because I didn't want to start a fight. Again, not mad at him, just afraid about the situation.

Bring it on!!

Michelle thanks for the hatching vibes. I really need them. I accidentally broke my bator a few weeks ago and DH has been trying his best to fix it so I wouldn't go and get a new one. This morning I told him he wasn't going to put me off any longer and we went and got a new one. I am worried about how old these eggs are by now. I have 2 bators now! The broken one can be fixed but it was taking FOREVER for the silicone/caulking stuff to dry and I couldn't wait any more so now I can use the broken one as a brooder and can have my stagered(SP) hatches like I wanted to last time. This is only my 2nd hatch and I think I did pretty good last time. 37 out of 42 eggs! Come to think of it I have a pic. of the last hatch. Will post in a min.
I am glad you had a quite weekend. Hope you are all relaxed now. We had a quite Sunday. It was the first time in a really long time since we all stayed home and no one came knocking early in the morning. It seems like every Sunday morning one or 2 of DHs friends are going to come around befor 9am and I never want to be up that early.
We went out and took snow pics and made a snow mountain instead of a snowman.

Chickenchick all of those eggs were from my hens cept for the DARK ones. I always thought my eggs were kind of dark but seemed like they were really light next to the bcm eggs. If you still want eggs in March those are the kinds I can send ya.

My chickens are $136 in dept to me now so I think I am going to have to send some roos to freezer camp to cut back on feed. That is including the price for new bator. I always give them a $2 credit for every dozen eggs they give me and count all expenses against them. That way I can keep up with just how much money is going into them and can keep control over how much money I spend on things I prolly could do without for them.

I hope I have not bored everyone. I just love to talk chickens on here and there is no one else to talk about my chicky buddies to since my DH says they are boring and my mother thinks I am a chicken nut!

My eggs went on lock down tonight too! Charmed your one brave cookie for staying up that late...I went to dinner at a friends house Sat night dinner was fabulous--I know this sounds funny but the salad was to die for

Lettuce-3 kinds
chopped apples
walnuts
crumbled fresh blue cheese
onions
cranberrys-sweetened
and all sorts of organic dressings

OMG I could have eaten that all night!

Any hoo 9:30 I said we had to go-sleeping by10pm..Im a sissy!

Algo-those chicks are soo cute!!! and your eggs are beautiful

He cannot keep any money as much as he says hes good and can do it-nope never has never will

MIchelle--you just have so many people getting ill around you -you poor thing..

I hope all of them do well with surgery-chemo-heart drainage:-(

SHoot Even when we are dirt broke and have no extra $ for gas..I can talk DH into taking me to dinner and I go to town because I know we deserve it. I hate the bills to say the least but you know what they'll be there when Im dead too so oh well...no I havent been drinking yet either!! which reminds me Dh bought me a big bottle of Cuervo maragaritas so give me a few minutes and Ill be right back

ok margarita half gone -2 chocolate cupcakes fresh from over gone and a huge Clausens pickle gone! yah baby! what a hog..Now Im off to take my happy sleepy pill..If I dissappear in the next 20 minutes its because the pill hit me so hard DH is yanking me to bed by pulling my hair like a caveman! LOL...
