We were mostly around 50 this weekend too, but a little cloudy. Thank goodness no rain though, but there is a 100% chance tonight and 80% chance tomorrow and a chance through the rest of the week. Better than snow, but it is soooo muddy right now from the melting!
We bbqed Saturday night too. I got a call while I was working Saturday morning from my sis telling me Cotter (her 18 year old cat we were talking about last week) wasn't doing well. She was crying and clearly upset. I was trying to answer phones, so I Destiny talk to her and promised we would be down as soon as we got off work. Mom was already on her way there. On our way, hubby tells me to pick up something for supper because we were having company. Freddie came up to work on his truck and Colten may be there too. The only thing I could think of was grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. Mom and I went to the store and cooked at sis' house. We made potato salad and deviled eggs for me to take home and I got back home in time to throw the meat on the grill. Cotter is doing better. The vet gave him a steroid shot and some medication and Mom and I bought him some kitten food and formula and anything else we thought he would like and he perked up by the time we left. Mom is going to stay a few days to keep an eye on him while sis is at work. Mom my rocks when it comes to stuff like that! If I am going to have growing teenage boys at my house every Friday and Saturday night, I need some help with menus. Colton and Colten are football players and Freddie can out eat both of them! Then there is hubby trying to keep up with all of them! They are getting tired (and it is getting expensive) to order pizza all the time. Any ideas?
Oh, and for those who don't know, Destiny's team won at Trivia night! She was pretty excited! She took the night off to go to PBR at the city, but decided not to go. She didn't tell anyone at work because they would have wanted her to work. Now, her pic is going to be in the paper! Busted!
I did take some new pics, not many, but a few. We rebuilt the goat pen yesterday to keep those girls in! We were supposed to do it Saturday, but see above post. Yesterday morning I got up and saw Bella at the edge of the yard just wandering around. By the time I got dressed, I looked out the window and saw her running along the road, still in the yard, chasing a car!
So, I put on my mud boots and we got started. The yard is so sloppy I almost got stuck standing too long in one place! We used cattle panels and the boys put them off the ground a little so we could slide the bowls in if we needed and the girls could stick their heads out to eat grass. This morning I am leaving for work and low and behold there is Betsy wandering the yard trying to get back in!
Destiny got her caught and ended up with mud splashed on her face, arms and her shirt! I told her I hope it is not an indication on how our whole day is going to go!
I will try to get my pics posted sometime today!
