Have a great weekend everyone! Oh I have a broody and I just shoved two mixed turkey eggs under her Michelle!!! Im going to take my call duck eggs out of bator and stick those under her too! I hate hand turning!
Yep! We haul our water from a natural spring about 3 miles away. It gets put in the cistern and is pumped to the house with an electric pump. Not such a slick idea when there isn't any power
AND yes our mail lady rides a beautiful horse, or is that you coming down the road?!
Wait -you haul your water all the time? how far away and how do you do that???
We have a water truck. It is a 1968 Dodge, pea green, she is a beaut
The natural spring is just 3 miles away. The truck has a dump bucket on it. So the box lifts up to empty the plastic tank. Kenny hates it when we start watering the garden and yard. He hauls every 10 days in the winter and 3 times a week in the summer.
I have a pip this morning
It was there when I got up. Not much else had happened. I hope I get more than 1, but considering I screwed up the humidity in the beginning then lost power twice during this hatch I will be grateful if anything hatches!

aww youve been on here alot too Bantimna so congrats to you too
Morning all!
Michelle-thats awesome it only gets easier for sure. Whats rough right now is FIL is now living next door again and he is a heavy smoker -2 packs a day..its hard to resist that but so far so good
I do have my tic tacs in my pocket! I was doing well until we had the bonfire Friday night with everyone up and I broke down and had one. I was a little stressed and it helped a bit. My stress has gone down some since then! Strange thing is, it hasn't bothered me to be around other smokers.

How close is it? I have been known to chip away at the shell a little if I think they need help. Just be sure to STOP if you see blood!
There are a few fairly large pieces that I really want to get out of his way. I would say he is close to half way out. He seems to have zipped backwards. He went towards the floor. I thought he was dead this morning so I turned the egg slightly towards the top of the bator. Then I saw his little beak moving.
