Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

That is funny! I saw that thread earlier and thought of you too!

I am sorry you lost a turkey

Also I wish I could have been more help last night. I have had hens pick at half grown chicks that I decided to integrate to early. I had to keep them inside and separate until there was no sign of blood or they would do it over and over. I have heard of some people mention Blu Kote. I think it disguises the wound so they don't continue to pick at it. But I am not sure why your birds would start that in the first place.

My chick that was having trouble hatching died in its shell. I decided if he wasn't out this morning I would see what I could do. I don't see any movement so I assume he is gone. I am not giving up on the other eggs yet, even though there are no more pips. I just hate for Teeny to be alone.

About Maddie, she doesn't sound very impressive to me. It is one thing to talk like that to your friends but to do it in ear shot of a parent, any parent?! Colton deserves a nice girl, like his Mama!!

Good Morning! Sorry you lost a turkey, Michelle. I have used Blu Kote and it works good. A friend told me about Noxema. It helps their skin and tastes bad so the others quit pecking. I bought some but have never tested the theory. I had ordered Blu Kote and got it in the mail the same day I got home with the Noxema so used it instead. Just be careful when you use it if you get some. It will stain your hands.

Chickenchick....I will look for you to blow by!

Michelle you should start driving towards charmeds house, but keep an eye on the sky for me!!

Oh yea Charmed about Kenny... He didn't marry the stripper but some where she must have used his name on something that was legal or recorded

He said she used to sign like that once in a while. This was when he was 17 or so.

Ah yes, dear Maddie! I think Colton is figuring out that she is a little too high maintenance for him. I am going to sit back for a while and let him figure it out for himself. I offered a few words of encouragement and support on Sunday and haven't said anything since. I am not sure his friends are too impressed with her either, except for Justin, who likes any girl that will give him attention. The rest, I think, are looking for the type of girl we also have in mind for Colton!

Colton's friend Colten has a girlfriend, he is the only one of the bunch who really does and they have been together for a few years now. They spend Friday nights doing what they want with their friends and spend Saturday nights together. He was at our house Friday night and then to prom with her on Saturday. Sunday he went bowling with us since he is on Colton's league team. When my Colton got home he told me that Colten was heading over to his girlfriend's house to break up with her. When asked why, all I got was he had a miserable time at prom, she ignored him most of the night, stole $20 from his wallet for alcohol (he doesn't drink) and she never wants to do anything he wants to do. Yesterday I ask if they broke up. Colton says no. Destiny is standing there and says "let me guess, she cried, didn't she?" And Colton says "that is exactly what happened!"

Ah, young love!!

Oh boy! Yes young love! Sounds like Colten deserves better too. Don't you wish you could convince them to stay single and have fun while they are in school, and worry about finding Miss right later? We try to tell Raymond that but he really wants a GF. Kenny and I were both married at 19 and both of us feel like we missed out on a lot of things. Raymonds Dad was 24 and I was 17 and a Senior in HS. So he wasn't interested in any of my Senior weekend activities or prom. So I skipped it all. We were together until I was 28. By then I was a Mom with bills and responsibilities. It seems now days "kids" don't settle down as young as they used too.

I am not sure they actually want girlfriends, but they do like the girl-friends. They all still have the "boy" things they want to do together and don't want a darned girl to get in the way, even mom sometimes! Colten's girlfriend is a senior, so I think that is a lot of what is going on there. He is probably also realizing there is more to life since he has been hanging with the "guys" more. Luke is too shy to have a girl. Even Justin who loves female attention admitted Saturday night that he didn't want to have to spend money on a girl, so he doesn't want to be tied down. My Colton is the same way. Freddie travels every weekend, most of the time to other states, for his trap shooting contests, so he isn't around much and doesn't want to commit. I think they have all pretty much thought it through and are just enjoying having girls around. As long as the girls like what they like. That is why they let Destiny in their circle once in a while. She is "one of the guys". He and Justin took her mudding on the ATVs Saturday night and Freddie loves to text her multiple times a day, especially when he is out of town. I think they like the girl thing without any pressure.

Luke is doing pretty good, he doesn't seem completely up to par yet, but he got the clearance to play football, so that will be starting before too long. He hasn't been around too much lately, but he lives in the boonies and has to depend on others to get around. He has also been spending more time with his Mom in Chillicothe.

I have a few pics I am getting ready to upload!
