Have a good lunch!

I just got an email from a friend I have had since grade school. She used to keep in touch , then she just stopped. I tried too reach her when i was in Havre but she was never home. Anyway, today she told me she is getting a divorce. Their daughter is starting preschool in the fall. They have been married about 8 years, I feel so badly for her. She has asked me to call her, but I am a little nervous. She hasn't met Kenny and has no idea how happy I am with my life. What do I say when she asks, so how have you been? Whats going on in your life?

You tell her the truth! You have been through the trenches too and maybe it will be good for her to know it's not the end of the world. See...Look what happened to you. Mr. Right is out there. She just needs to get through this and then keep her eyes open. Don't downplay your good fortune. Be proud of it. You've earned it!

I agree 100%!! There is no need to downplay your life just because she is going through a rough time. If she would have kept in touch, she would already know how happy you are! You don't have to rub it in, unless you want to, but if she asks, tell her how it is!

I will keep further opinions of "friends" who don't keep in touch, except for when handy for them, to myself!

My guineas haven't laid an egg this spring! I tried to have a talk with them, but I don't know if they listened. If they do, I will be sure to box them up and send them your way. "But dear, I had no idea Michelle was going to send them and I hate for them to just go to waste now that they are there!"

I am leaning more toward Lee being the winner too. We all already know how I feel about Crystal, but that aside, did you hear Simon actually say "if you survive"? It used to be, you will be in the final. I think they are not so sure about her anymore either. But it will be her or Lee. Casey is in big danger, Aaron is just too young and Mike, geesh, let him go already. We've heard enough sappy ballads out of him!

Oh come on, you don't have to keep it from us! I have had those in the past and I don't waste my time anymore. In fact I had pretty much written this one off after all of my attempts to keep in touch were ignored. I will call her though, her email sounded pretty desperate, but I am procrastinating for several reasons. About "except when it is handy for them" well she did happen to ask if my house in Havre would be available to rent

for cheap! It just so happens to be a few blocks away from hers!

Thank you for your understanding and advice. You are right I have paid my dues and am very proud of my husband, family and life. Also she SHOULD already know that! And she might feel better to know that things can work out for the better and when you think it is the end of the world it isn't!!

Perfect!! Do you think he will buy that?

Have you tried telling them that their services are needed in MT!!

I know they were not happy with Crystal last night. I agree about Mike. I think he is good at the kind of music they did last night, but that is about it. I feel as if Casey may leave anytime. I am surprised it is turning out that way. When I first saw him I thought for sure he was it. However Lee just seems like he is getting better and better. I don't know about Aaron, maybe it is the age thing, but I just don't see any thing special. Its no doubt that he can sing though.

How was lunch, that reminds me. I havent had any and I am starving!

You go girl! Take control of the situation before you even talk to her. Is your house needing a renter right now? If so, and you think she would make a good tenant, offer it to her. As far as "cheap", tell her you normally rent it for $XXX (up the price a bit), but I would rent it to you for $XXX! (normal rent amount) You don't owe her a discount, you have bills to pay also! If you don't want to rent to her at all, tell her it is empty because you have 2 friends from Missouri that are moving up soon to rent it!

Lunch was McDonald's in the park. Big and Tasty with cheese, fries and sweet tea. Hubby didn't join us, so us girls decided to go enjoy the park. I think it is only the first or second time we have been this year. It was a little cool under the shelter, but we sat on the basketball court to soak up some rays.

You have just about summed it up with Idol. Lee is a lot like David Cook and Kris Allen who have won the past 2 years. I just think that is what America is looking for. He reminds me soo much of Cookie, so that may be the attraction to others as well! (Of course, no one really compares to our MISSOURI native David Cook!) Aaron may be in the top spot next to him like Archuletta was with Cook, who knows.

It may come down again to the battle of the ages. I am sure those young girls can whip out texts a whole lot faster than me, I know Destiny doubled me last night!

You are right the key is to be prepered when I talk to her. We could really benifit by having a renter right now. But she would be expected to sign the same contract as the previous renters, which includes allowing the realator to show the house. I like your idea about the rent. I will up it a bit before I talk with her. BTW, it would be free for you all!!!!

Chickenchick.........all I can say is........don't let this gal take advantage of you or you know two Missourians that will be beating down her door!

And a New Yorker too, I'm sure!

Oh...I was suppose to ask you if you go antelope hunting. DH wants to know......I smell a hunting trip....maybe......

Gosh, it hasn't slowed down too much for me today. Mostly my fault though, I procrastinate and then have to hustle my butt to get caught up. One of these days, it will catch up with me!

Did I tell you all that the deadline to enter my showdown is next Friday and I have yet to have anyone enter?
barnie.gif
I am sure they will all wait until the last minute or past the deadline like they always do.

Strangely, I am not stressed about it at all like I should be. After all, they are probably all procrastinators like I am!
