Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Tehe. They aren't the kind of quail you want anyway, Michelle.

The ones in the incubator are coturnix, not button quail.

These are the ones that eat non-stop.

Penguin and the other babies are all doing well. They are really growing. I'll take pictures sometime over the next couple of days and post them. Having company really got me crazy behind, so now I'm in the mad rush trying to catch up. The first half of my week has NO time for catching up, so now the next two or three days that I usually rest some are going to be spent doing stuff I needed to do last week...blech. On top of all that, I've been battling this sinus thing now for about 3 weeks. May end up having to haul myself to the doc.

I hear you about the sinus thing. I have been miserable all week! I have moved from blowing my nose to the wicked dry cough.

Looking forward to new pics! What is the countdown for the hatch now?

The kittens are all doing well. Jasper likes to peek in at them, but it upsets Mama, so I have to keep an eye on him. We also finally found the other litter in the shed yesterday evening. We were so surprised to see she had 4 black ones.

They have their eyes open and just looked up and mewed at us. We can't get to them yet though.

How are things with you?

Destiny, I'd be tempted to trade some of those kittens for some of those quail your mother wants, but alas, I cannot. The problem is that they grow up into full grown cats of which I already have enough.

Michelle: 13 days for the ones in the incubator. I'm estimating 9 or 10 for the ones that a mama stole and sat on. I'm not positive WHEN she started sitting. I'm going to assume 5 days or 6 days, though, and get things ready as soon as I can so I will have less of a surprise when they show up.

Do you want black, black, black, black, black, black, black, black calico or light yellow? We also have some ready to go now. Black, black, yellow or the new one that is white with some tiger striping on her. You can have all you want!

I should know this, but how long did you say incubation is on the quail?

Well, it has been nice talking to you all, but I think my time on here is coming to an end. I don't think they let you have internet connection in prison. Today is the day we will lose our old, odd, cranky newsman. I am doing the sacrifice myself for the good of the station. I am sure my co-workers will be grateful enough to bring me everything I need to the jail and thankfully I am friends with the judge and have a very good lawyer!
