Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Chimney is inspected and cleaned. I knew my chimney needed some work, but it turned out to be a little worse than I'd hoped. I was going to remortar the firebox myself but after seeing it told them they could do it, ROFL. So, that's scheduled for a couple of weeks from now, as is the installation of a new damper.

My checking account is going to writhe in agony by the time we are done.

Turns out I have a hairline crack in the chimney crown, too. At least that doesn't need much done to it. They said to just caulk it and put on a coat of paint before winter. We can handle that...

Of course, I still have that sump pump to buy, too. I think that I'll wait til payday.

How did Lucy do with her confinement?

I am just waiting for hubby to get home. Raymond is at FB practise so he is going to pick him up on the way home. Saves me a trip to town. I am grateful except I forgot to put fuel in the pickup when I went in at lunch, like I said I would. Now we are going to get in to it in the morning and I may be in a wee bit of trouble, less if we don't end up walking to town

Brenda, the friend I had lunch with today is going to be a Grandma for the first time in a month. She is very excited. Unfortunately they live in Washington but she is hoping to ride the train out every few months. She gave me some party lite candles today for my birthday. They smell soooo good. Perfect for the hot tub!

Oh, I knew the chimney had its needs. It wasn't a surprise - except for the tiny crack in the crown, but it appears to be a shrinkage crack. They said it's not serious, just to paint it. I knew the other two needed done, just had let myself forget it, I think.

Of course, I think I need a new set of tires on the car before winter, too. Blech. Not sure I want to drive on ice and snow with these, ROFL. I will make them give them back to me, though, because they have at least six months use left - just not winter use! I have a workshop out back they can get stashed in.

Lucy did okay. She decided after 20 minutes she was done with that, though and started barking, ROFL. David took her with him to his room and she was happy as can be.

The chimney guy's assistant was creepy strange, though. Really weird...

I think we just decided to weigh-in on fridays .. (so we can pig out on the weekends .. LOL)

I'm not complainin' .. I'll take the 2 lbs .. or 1/2 lb .. depending on which day she used for my start weight.

Good Morning! It is not only football Friday it is Homecoming Day for us!

We got to work a little earlier than yesterday, but still late. We had to stay at the restaurant/bar until it closed last night. Long story, but very anti-climatic ending.

What is everyone's plans for the weekend? When ya leaving Charmed?

Did someone say FOOTBALL ..

I've decided .. for real .. that DH is a very confused man. To hear him talk, he sounds pretty convincing of the things he's trying to convince you (himself) of ..

He LOVES football .. he can't WAIT for football season (NFL) .. I hear this the entire off season .. Oh and it's a BIG deal on opening day .. We have to have BBQ and chips and dip and peanuts and beer .. etc. Football ....

Then, from that weekend on .. you can't get him to watch a whole game .. not a single solitary entire game ..

He also says (EVERY SINGLE YEAR SINCE I'VE MET HIM) .. that THIS year we are going to attend some of our local HS football games .. it never happens...

I can watch the 12:00 game .. the 3:00 game .. the 7pm game and LOVE monday night football .. I don't care if "My" teams are playing or not .. I just love the game.

But he truly convinces himself during off season that he's a big football fan ..

this carries over into SOOOOOO many areas of our life. And it usually envolves ANYTHING that I show alot of interest in ..

At any rate ... I LOVE Football ....
