Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Ah, graduation! Looking so forward to it but haven't planned a thing! When I have something coming up I have so many notes floating around. I sit and write and plan and then it comes down to it and I have none of the papers in front of me! I guess I write it all so much that I have it memorized by then!

Help me out a bit on this supper Thursday night. I am going to make a boatload of mac and cheese (from scratch) for these hungry boys. Is it possible to do any of it the night before and have it still taste good? I don't know what time I will be leaving work in the afternoon to get it prepared, so I am trying to think ahead. How much to make for 20+ people (15 football players)?

Btw, I was up until 11:30 last night shouting at the top of my lungs to get the mud out of Colton's white jersey, gold pants and white socks. I finally realized I had Spray and Wash instead of Shout and think I finally got it out the best it will come out.

He is going to probably have a bruise where he was kicked in the ribs, but seemed okay last night. He was mad that he got 2 holding calls he didn't think he deserved. When I saw that one flag thrown at his feet I knew he would be upset and he was! But the refs were a little hard on us last night. They only called 3 penalties on the other team the whole game. If we sneezed, we got one. We went up 6-0 early in the game and they scored with a 2 point conversion with 2 mins left, so we lost 8-6, but I thought it was a pretty good game. I had a very tired boy when he made it home.

She was sitting there watching the game last night, it is relatively quiet at the time and suddenly she stands up and yells "hey! that kid pushed my brother down!"

Such a good big sis!! When he got hurt, she was over at the bench checking on him too. We also led the crowd in cheerleading last night too. Those skinny high class teeny bopper, short skirt wearing girls don't have anything on us!!

Well he did! And it wasn't very nice either.

And he was fine... I told him to suck it up and get back out there

Hey thats not a bad score. Raymond would be tickled if they came that close!! I don't envy you trying to get those clothes clean. I told you to hose him off in the yard!!

With your mac and cheese... how do you make yours normally? There is no reason you can't boil and refrigerate all the pasta the night before. Under cook it a tad and toss with a little oil to prevent it from sticking. Are you keeping it warm in a slow cooker? I do not know what your sauce is but you could make your sauce in the morning ( or possibly the night before, then reheat it in morning) anyway, in the morning put your noodles in slow cooker, mix in sauce and set on low. Have someone turn it to warm early afternoon or don't turn it on until about 4 hours before serving. Just be sure to under cook your noodles. Does this make sense?

Hello ladies! Can you believe that today was the first chance I've had to sleep in for almost two weeks and my DEAR sweet spouse sent me a text message bright and early, waking both me and Lucy? Yup. That meant I had to get up and taker her outside. I'll admit, though, that after checking the babies I collapsed again. I am up and around and have been attending to baby quail. The third button quail hatched in the night. It was NOT thrilled to find itself alone in there. The others had been sitting with the third egg almost like they were encouraging it along.

Michelle, looks like you have company now. Don't worry about not planning graduation things yet! Plenty of time.

ChickenChick -- that's strange about the white sheets. Last night (this morning?) I was dreaming that I was in a thrift shop looking at white sheets. Strange.

Normally I make my mac and cheese in a box!

Anyway, I am planning on making it from scratch this time with a combo of Velveeta cheese and some shredded cheddar. I don't really have a recipe, I am going to try and wing it. I was planning to just put it in the oven, but do you think I would be better off in the slow cooker?

At least you got some extra sleep anyway. How are you feeling now? I don't have company yet, just the supper on Thursday. All the senior football players will be converging on our garage after practice and their radio program and will be hungry. I am looking for that delicate balance of plenty of food, but not tons left over for the next week. I am always afraid there won't be enough, so I am usually an overachiever!

Not necessarily better off, I was just thinking convenience. I wasn't sure if you needed it to be ready after work or what your time frame was. I would say if you have time to bkae it, go for it. You could just have your pasta ready, add the cubes of Velveeta, maybe a tiny bit of milk and bake. Add tons of cheddar cheese on top and wlala!!! Going to town, be back soon!
