Rozzie re: d'Oprah -- she just seems in her own world .. unaware or unable to grasp other chicken behavior. At first I thought it was "silkie" as I have no experience with them, but I got TWO of them that day and Whoopie acts like a chicken .. and has integrated well. d'Ophrah never has .. and THEY DON'T LIKE HER EITHER .. lol .. (understatement).
She loves people, though, so we just kinda made her a pet. And she doesn't seem to mind Uno poking around under her legs and wings and eating her food and sharing her living quarters .. so she's alright in my book. She's just coming off a molt, so I wouldn't be upset if she decides to go broody when she starts laying again, however she doesn't do ANYTHING with passion, so I don't even see her doing this ..

chickenchick--How did it go with Raymond asking out Alyssa? I keep meaning to ask you, but never when I am sitting at the computer. Hubby laughed and agreed with me when I told him that I told you that you were lucky he asked first!

When we went to see Lindsie Saturday we asked Colton if he wanted to take her anything. He did but had no idea what to get. Then he said "I will just ask her what she wants and bring it next time." Destiny and I quickly explained to him that isn't the way it works. Us girls don't want to ask for gifts, but are pleasantly surprised when we get them. We ended up at the hospital gift shop after discussing various places, wandered around for a while and stopped at the flowers. He did tell us pink is her favorite color, so we talked him into a vase with pink carnations. He wasn't sure, but anxious to see her, so he agreed. (after worrying about the price
) Lindsie loved them and has them sitting right next to her on her bedside table. If he is going to date, we are going to have to step in and give him pointers!
On the subject, Lindsie doesn't get to come home today like she thought she would so Colton is going down with my father in law after he gets out at HS at 11. Freddie, Des and I went with him last night over to his house to pick up his car. Freddie and Des brought it home while Colton drove me in his dad's car. I was a little nervous with him being one handed, but he did pretty good. It is going to be a while before he can drive his own car yet though!

I have a feeling I am going to be doing the same thing. I was thinking he could get her something too but what? I mean right now they are just friends, maybe a card
He could offer to buy her lunch. We buy him a refillable charge card at the local Cenex, thats where all the kids eat lunch if they arent eating at school. They have a Hot Stuff Pizza shop in there. Should I suggest that? Then they can visit and maybe make a date?
