Yea thats the way it works here too. Also you can get your permit when you are 15 IF you pass Drivers Ed. Which he did not
However the teacher expressed to Kenny that he just wasn't comfortable while Raymond was driving because of the issue of his only having the one working hand. I think it was BS that he didn't try to help with the disability. There are millions of people in this world that drive with a disability. He even promised to find who to talk to about provisions that could legally be made to a vehicle to assist Raymond. I have never heard from him after that. The hardest thing for him is putting the visor down without swerving (insert nervous smiley here)
So was Colton 15 when he got his then?
Nope, made him wait until he was 16. We don't have driver's ed here so it is not a requirement, but we just made him wait. That is crap that he didn't work with Raymond more. Colton is driving with one hand now. He has trouble with turn signals and dimming head lights, but gets along pretty good. He makes me no more nervous now than he ever has!
What did Raymond's bio think about him getting the car??
Poor Colton
We actually talked about putting a dimmer switch on the floor like they were in the "olden days". But the turn signal is an issue too. He can hit it with his left hand though. The D teacher also said it is a requirement that he have both hands on the wheel. He can't do that because his left hand can get stuck on the wheel. I have had to pry him off of the fridge door handle more than once.
You know I was very worried about that. Kenny and I held our breath for the phone to ring or a nasty email to show up but he actually emailed to thank us
I think he may be ill!!
Whats for supper at your house tonight?
