I never venture off of BYC unless it is one of the sister sites. I found one about a lil silky that almost died but looks real cute 2 weeks later and I don't even like those things lol. Someone else fussing bout how this site needs changes and now off to read bout an impacted crop.

Hey all!

Been way too long since by last visit to BYC. It has also been a beautiful day here in Kauai: wish i could send some of this warm weather to all your chickens with cold toes!

everyone is busy busy.... i am caught up and going to grab some dinner

well more like an almost midnight snack at this point!

pasta and the whole deal... the cheese biscuits are in the oven!

im gonna try my hardest to be around here in the afternoon when everyone else is here...

algo - i do the same thing all the time - i am soooo tired around 7

once i get the kitchen cleaned and the kids to bed, DH gets home from work and passes out and i can finally go to bed... and im not tired!

i end up on BYC until 3 am!

has elizabeth checked back in lately... saw the safe house post! hope she's ok and dry-ish over there! internet down? let us know how your doing!

Why do they put on a show for others then turn off the charm and turn on the butt headness for us! I didn't do anything, it was your boss, not me! Sheesh! Could have been something in the air though, I got a text from someone else here

saying their Dad was being less than pleasant too!!

Once it's below freezing .. it's all the same to me .. and if it's going to get that cold .. it might as well snow..

just sayin' ...

I threw D'Oprah and Uno in the big coop night before last .. Yesterday D'Oprah had been accepted .. Uno was hiding and terrified. I turned everyone out and then let her come out of hiding and eat and drink .. she wanted loving too ..

I turned a crate on it's side, covered it completely with hay, left her a little hole to slip into and waalaa .. she had a snuggly hiding place.

It was so cute .. I had to explain to her that she needed to be VERY quiet or they would know she was there..

I saw her out again just before dark.

when I went up to shut the door after all the chickens were up, I peeked in her "cave" and there she was .. snuggled down in the hay for the night .. I showed D'Oprah and she slipped right in there too.. So at least I know they were warm and dry ..

It'll be soooooo much easier having all the chickens in ONE coop .. Standards in one .. bantams in another .. TWO coops .. what a concept .. lol.
