See above. I am also hoping to head out of here soon since it was another early morning.

I have a friend over from Melbourne. She's lovely and she wants to help the floods but the darned woman works nights really late and doesn't want to leave until 10 - and then get gumboots, go to the bank, drive to the flood areas.... you have to finish once the sun sets - we'll get nothing done!

And she has acrylic nails!

haha, this'll be an interesting day.

I have GREAT news!!!!!!!!! I just got off the phone with the immigration office in Memphis and the lady said Sevedo is not in any trouble. He just has to go to Memphis on Feb. 7th and let them know the guy he signed for and payed $1500 bond has broken bond and left the country. The guy gave Sevedo the money to pay it so it was not our money anyway. If that guy ever comes back to the US and is caught, he will automatically be deported for breaking bond.
Sevedo has been legal since around 2002. He is a permanant (sp) legal resident alien. He was on probation for 2 years and after that only has to renew his green card every 10 years and can stay here for the rest of his life as long as he never breaks any major laws like federal stuff.
The trouble I was worried about was since Sevedo signed for the other guy and posted bond for him and then he left was, would they take action against Sevedo since in a sence, he was responsible for him. Any time I get a letter talking about deportation, I can not help but panic! lol
You can believe I gave Sevedo one HECK of a lecture about putting himself out there for strangers and how stupid that is when he as a family of his own to worry about.
I think it is all over now though!!

I need to take Sophie to the vet in the next town over soon, maybe I will do it on a day Kenny works so I can browse their second hand store, and they have 2 antique shops. I sure wish you all lived closer so we could go together

I wasn't going to go, but Jeanette slightly twisted my arm and the next thing I knew, we were hopping in the car. We made one stop so we could call it a business venture! A friend had told me about Pamida, so I caved in and checked that out too. I got some towels, tablecloths, rugs, bowls and other misc. The highest thing was a basket for cookies with a recipe on the top cover. It was 1.99 and really cute. The rugs were 1.09 and everything else cheaper. I try not to do that very often since I have enough crap at home I need to get rid of, but I sometimes just can't pass up a bargain!

This spring Roz and I are plotting a shopping spree to all the second hand places she talks about. Just fly into KCI and Des and I will pick you up on our way! Kelly can meet us there!!
