Ever Had This Kind Of Conversation???

I like that...."gateway animal".

Its true I suppose, but is she saying that if people are allowed chickens that she thinks pigs would automatically be included by default?

And PC has a point, I DO want other animals once we get moved out to the farm, I had thought about having the chickens and a couple of Nigerian milk goats here(nothing big) but as it is, I think the chickens will cause a big enough uproar with busy bodies! NOT with the ONLY two residences close to me, they are perfectly okay, provided no roosters. They are great neighbors to have. Anyway, no mini goats til we move.
There are 400 people here. The town is in the middle of nowhere. We are on the very edge of town. By their thought processes you would think we lived in a metropolis!!!

Sigh. Thinking about that conversation, I am just going to say I think it takes all kinds and move on....

I agree no pigs!!..but.......I have always wanted a milk goat or two...just waiting for the right moment or goat!

When I was younger, we raised pigs. They are nothing like chickens. I love my chickens. The pigs always were digging, trying to get out, and smelly. I have chickens and nubians goats, but don't want any pigs. My husband is the one that wants pigs.

That's when you look at her dead in the eyes and with your most serious face say
"Pigs, good heavens no, but raising a small herd of buffalo, now that is a different story!"
