& ponder..."Why are they all lookin' at me like that???" Hehehehehe, I have a brooder full o' chicks right now & when they're up & awake, anytime I peer over the wall, I get 24 eyes lookin' up at me...

& I just imagine what's goin' through their lil' bird brains...'Hmmmm, I wonder if we team up just how can we bring him down??' or, 'Uhhh, guys...is that mommy?' or 'I wonder if my puppy eyes look will work to get a nice snack?'

LOL, I think I know what mine are thinking, we have a split level house, and the deck is 11' off the ground. We throw scraps and treats down to them from the deck. If we just walk out there, they all come running, looking up at us.

When the girls are out the yard, and someone goes out they all come running and I know fo sure that's what their thinking - where are our treats!?!

"What took you so long? The water is nasty!"
"You gonna turn out that light now? It's roasting in here!"
"Hey! We could use a change of bedding!"
"If he sticks that tool in here to fluff up the bedding again I'm gonna go postal on him!"
"Who are you gonna disappear this time, fella?"

In the henyard:

"Hey, open the gate and let us out!"
"Why are your hands empty? Where are our treats?"
"He's pushing the wheelbarrow. Time for some scratch!"
"Hey! We're out of water here! Come across with the hose!"
"Okay Penny, trip him again like you did yesterday. If he hits his head against the henhouse and knocks himself out we'll eat like royalty!"
