Ever seen a chick that lays on it's back? (Worrisome update Aug 9)

Shes still doing it, not being pushed over. Such a crazy girl. I know that she can correct herself now, so I don't check the brooder every 5 minutes. I just make sure the water and feeder are far enough from the sides she can't possibly get stuck. Dot is wel..... Dot LOL

I've seen a magpie lay on its side in front of a fire in the house.


A magpie is a type of australian bird a little like a crow or raven.

We ended up with one that was injured when it was a baby and we nursed it back to health so it was pretty tame.
It would push the dog and cat out of the prime spot in front of the fire one winter. Tough bird!



Oh also... chicken story. I think chickens dust bathing a lying around are one of the funniest and undignified visions. I haven't taken a good photo without some of them looking like they're dead.
